Refund Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains when we refund paid transforms on Outpaint.co.uk. It forms part of our Terms of Service. The short version: if we don't deliver, you don't pay — and nothing here reduces your statutory rights.

1. Automatic refunds — no request needed

Your payment is refunded automatically, without you having to ask, when:

Automatic refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe, usually within a few business days depending on your bank.

2. Refunds on request

We will provide a re-run or a full refund where:

3. Your statutory rights (these always apply)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement (for us, a re-run), and if that is impossible or doesn't fix it, a price reduction — which can be a full refund, paid within 14 days to your original payment method. If faulty digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content, you may also be entitled to compensation. This policy adds to those rights; it never replaces or reduces them.

4. The 14-day cooling-off period and immediate delivery

A paid transform is digital content delivered immediately. At checkout, before you pay, you tick a box expressly consenting to immediate delivery and acknowledging that you lose the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once processing begins. If for any reason that consent and acknowledgment were not validly obtained for your purchase, your 14-day cancellation right remains intact and we will honour it. Losing the cancellation right never affects the faulty-content rights in section 3.

5. What is not normally refundable

Because AI output is inherently variable and creative, simply not liking the artistic result of a transform that completed successfully and as described is not, by itself, a fault and is not normally refundable. Even so, we review every request fairly and may offer a goodwill re-run or refund at our discretion. Free transforms involve no payment, so no refund applies to them.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@outpaint.co.uk from (or quoting) the email address you used to pay, with a short description of what went wrong and, if possible, the approximate date and time of the transform. We aim to respond within a few business days.

7. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued via Stripe to your original payment method. Once processed, your bank or card issuer may take a few additional business days to show the credit. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly — it is almost always faster than a chargeback, though contacting us first is never a condition of your legal rights.
